Retired hunting decoys

A retired pair of Hooded Mergansers carved in 1994 with my son Daniel, his first yr to hunt ducks with a licence. We made a flock of puddle ducks and late-fall ducks to hunt over.  These decoys were well used, with bullet holes, cracks, and dents; lots of ducks were harvested over them. This rig of decoys was called the Basswood Rig. In 2025 made 60 decoys for Daniel, and I called them the Griffin Rig.
